Meditation

What is Meditation?
Meditation is a technique of focus or concentration, designed to control and
calm the conscious mind thereby achieving an enhanced awareness of self in the
present moment. Remember, meditation does not need to be related to a specific
religion or belief system. Rather it is a term, which is represented in many
different ways. For example, some common forms of meditation are Rosary Beads or
Zen meditation as well as Transcendental Meditation or Mantra meditation
The awareness that we achieve allows us to constructively channel our mental
energies so that we can be more productive, optimistic, peaceful, stress-free
and self-confident. Most importantly meditation is a pathway to increasing our
spiritual nature and connections.
